Grandparents and Electronic Monopoly

Grandma and Grandpa Steinmetz are visiting this weekend. They got off the plane Thursday and came straight to Jean-Luc's Edgewood baseball game. Then, they spent most of Saturday at baseball games...

The boys sucked Grandma and Grandpa in to play electronic monopoly. At some point in the game, Anton and Jean-Luc teamed up, so everyone else played against them. The boys are getting pretty good at this game!

And, more baseball games tonight before they leave tomorrow. I think they'll be baseball'd out by the time they leave.

Playing for Change

From Boing Boing:
The Playing For Change project made this film of buskers around the world playing "Stand By Me" (it's part of a project that raises funds to build schools). I found the performances here is very touching -- beautiful editing.

Anton washes the car

He's been quite helpful today. His brothers have been off having fun with friends or baseball, and he's been stuck at home doing all the chores by himself. Chris went to his buddy Chris W's house last night and to the beach today. JL had Cole over last night, and now he's up at practice.

I took Anton up to Starbucks for lunch (he got a sandwich and Reese's peanut butter cookie), and now he's washing my car for (hopefully) $5 cash. I told him it depends on how good a job he does. So far, so good.

Update: his buddy Nick came over, so now they've all gone back to Nick's house to play. Boy's got to have a little bit of fun I suppose.

Testing the blog by email from my iPhone feature

The photo came across just fine, but, unfortunately, the text in the email did not come across, so I added this bit later... Wow - the iPhone takes terrible photos.

Chris' application for WTTT

WTTT - the Tropical Trailblazer Television station. Chris would like to work in the station next year, here's his application. I think he's got a pretty good shot at getting accepted on the crew.

Stop Motion Animation: Wolf and Pig

This is a really nifty photo presentation (seen on Boing Boing).

Aunt Marilynn visit

Aunt Marilynn came to visit during Spring Break just before Easter Sunday. We had a great visit, she loves hanging out with the kids. She took them to see "Aliens vs Monsters in 3D" and played games like Monopoly and Hearts. We also went to the Rice's house and colored eggs for Easter. Sadly, none of the eggs made it to Easter day - they made for a yummy breakfast of Deviled Eggs on Saturday morning.

Browncoats unite!

We went to Orlando today to catch up with some of our Browncoat friends that we've not seen in a while. Cyby1 on the left with her newest little Browncoat. That's me next to Cyby1 and then MSCKaren visiting from Jacksonville. And finally Bill on the end.

We had a great visit and made plans to get together next month to go see the new Star Trek movie.
