Movies

Saw two movies this weekend.

First up is The Dark Tower starring Matthew McConaughey and Idris Elba. I saw this with Julie and Dave. It is an adaptation of a Stephen King series of the same name. It was good, but not stellar. The book series has seven books, and this movie took a little bit from each book. They skipped over entire story lines! But the action was good, and both McConaughey and Elba were great.

The second movie was Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets with Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne. Saw this one with Kathy and Robert. Also a good movie, but not great. It was beautifully done, almost in a Pandora fashion. But the story was a little weak.
