New Year's Eve

Went over to help with the Gala decorating. I helped do the centerpieces. Then lunch with Marilynn. Went to the room for a few hours after to rest. Around 5 pm we went over to the condo room to meet up with Marilynn and her family for a quick charcuterie before the soiree. They were fantastic!
Then the dinner was nice. We, of course, were like the second to last table served dinner. But, the orchestra was fantastic! Sat next to Marilynn's friend Vanessa and her husband. We really enjoyed the symphony and the singing and the dancing. It was a fantastic evening with friends and family. Drove home the next day.

Kellie: Need to brag on my sweet sweet baby boy for a minute. After 4 very long long years and 3 excruciating months…this pot of gold at the end of the rainbow has been potty-trained for 2. WHOLE. WEEKS! Keeping it going in a whole other state with zero routine, no less! Please throw a damn party with me! 😍

New Year's Eve Eve

So excited to go to Myrtle Beach for the Long Bay Orchestra New Year's Gala! We left on Friday evening after Bill got off work and drove up to Savannah for the evening. Got up early the next morning and drove the rest of the way up to Myrtle Beach. Got to the Hilton and got checked in. The room wasn't ready, so we went to the Callie Baker Firehouse restaurant for lunch. It was pretty good. The room was ready after that. It was a nice big room with a nice view of the ocean!
We were supposed to go by Marilynn's first, but she was having a plumbing issue. Her and Marjorie met us at the Red Lobster for dinner. She got a nice room closest to the ocean, but it was outside so she switched to an indoor room on the same floor as us. Then we went to the lounge for drinks before bed.

Went to John W's house to see the Christmas Boat Parade. Not as many this year, and a lot of them turned before they got to John's house. Still had fun!

Weekend Cruise - Day 2 - Bimini

Got to Bimini around 7:30 or 8 am. We didn't get off the ship at all. Bill and I went and hung out in the very back of the boat trying to reach that one Pokestop... Got it a few times and we were done. Then up to the front hot tub for a bit. Second breakfast with the kids. Played cards in the back by the pizza place, then moved over to the Alchemy bar. Dinner in the main dining hall, then more cards at the Alchemy bar. It was a very nice and relaxing trip!

Watts Pet Transport

Note: Julie and Dave have been doing pet transport to Save Them All for many, many years now. 

Julie: Had the sweetest puppy run today. This is baby Ruth. He is just a puppy who is now with his furever family. Hisbadooter brought her kids and he was their surprise. I just love handing off to the adoptees. It’s so wonderful to see how much they love their new friend. Thanks Michele - you know how much I love the puppies and we had an extra added treat - we got to see Mary! Happy tails sweet baby boy!

Weekend Cruise - Day 1 - Sea Day

Bill and I sat in the hot tub in the morning, then we did the Mind Games trivia. Missed one question and someone else won. 😖 Chris and Ashlee finally showed up! Played a lot of Dead Man's Draw. Saw the comedy show - Percy Crews 2 - funny guy! More games, then dinner. And finally topped the day off with the Rock show in the front theater.

Weekend Cruise - Embarkation

Did a weekend cruise with Chris and Ashlee. We were upgraded to the Captain's Suite - nice!! Didn't do much other than some games at the Alchemy Bar and dinner in the main dining room.

Julie: Had an amazing weekend with the grands Emily and Elliott. While we only had one night we jam packed in a whole weekends worth of fun! We started with making our first gingerbread house (well, chips ahoy anyway) and then we did the doggie run, had some lunch, played in the pool and had a tea party. Whew this NaNa is one tired grandma! But, they have my whole heart!

Par-tay! Darden Style

The Darden Holiday Party was a lot of fun! It was catered by Olive Garden, and had lots of outside activities. We got some photos with the Coca-Cola bear (blue sweatshirt, Hawaii shirt is from last year) along with some cute souvenirs and pictures by the gigantic Christmas tree!
