Myrtle Beach

We did a few things around Myrtle Beach yesterday. We went to an outdoor shopping mall and had lunch. We also hung out at the Barnes and Noble so the boys could get their internet connection fix... Then, we stopped by the beach. Let me tell you, it was COLD! Just enough time to snap the pictures, then back to the relatively warm car!

We headed back to the house and played Apples to Apples with Marilynn. She was alright with it until Chris starting making some questionable choices, then Jean-Luc just started throwing cards out there without looking. Finally, we watched Enchanted before calling it a night.

Christmas Day

We had a wonderful Christmas Day! Although the kids had to wait for Joan and family to get over to grandma's house, they had fun opening the gifts. They loved the iTouches that Santa got for them, as well as all the other gifts. Christmas dinner was marvelous with a stuffing recipe that everyone said that Grandma needs to save. Then we all played Apples to Apples and Uno. Finally, we watched the Titans vs Chargers game. It was a very nice day.

Christmas Eve

We're in Nashville for Christmas this year. It was a looooong drive up (spent the night in Tifton, GA). Had a nice easy day today at my in-laws house, the boys were pretty good. We went to the Christmas Eve services, it was very nice. My niece, Maura, was Mary in the service. Her part flew by so quickly, that we had to get this picture afterwards.

By the way, check out http://noradsanta.org for realtime Santa tracking!

Disney World

Hit Disney World again. It was a chilly day (temps in the low 60s). And apparently it was a popular day to go, seems like everyone who was home on Winter break was at the park. We had a nice time despite the throngs of people. Cole joined us for the day.

Here is a nice video of Cinderella's castle all lit up at night:

Plane Ride

The boys finally got their plane ride today. I won it in an Edgewood Baseball Dinner Auction a few months ago. What the boys said after the flight, "Cool. That was great!"

Anton at NASA BLAST

Anton went to NASA BLAST at the Astronaut Hall of Fame on a field trip with his science class. They did a great job of educating and entertaining the kids. From topics like space foods, human body considerations, spin simulators, and museum scavenger hunt to an actual mission simulation with flight crew on a shuttle mockup and ground crew in mission control. Anton was the Pilot on the flight crew, he's on the left hand side in the picture and on the monitor in the video.

Lego League, Trans Siberian Orchestra, and Morning

Anton had his first Lego League competition at the school this past weekend. His team was named Dark Matter. It was all day long! They had 5 chances to run their robot through the tasks, the first three went really well. The last two, not so good... Anyways, they took 5th out of 13, so not too bad at all. Considering this was their first competition.

That evening, we went to see Trans Siberian Orchestra in concert over in Orlando. What a great show!! High powered Christmas music coupled with an outstanding light show. And one of my favorite songs, "Wizards of Winter".

And finally, I leave you with a rainy morning shot of my backyard. The colors were simply gorgeous.
