Escape Room

We did an escape room on New Year's Eve. So. Much. Fun! It was called Contagion, and the premise was that a new virus had been created and had wiped out most of the world. We had to find the cure before the time was up. We had one hour to complete the puzzle. And we did it with about 2 minutes to spare!

Kimberly and the Duo

Had lunch with one of my best work friends, Kimberly! And the duo was back from Utah. :)

Aunt Rose

Visited Aunt Rose back at her apartment in Latrobe, PA. Had a very nice visit.

Snow Tubing

Then, we went snow tubing at a sister ski area. We had so much fun!!

Had a great day skiing at Hidden Valley. Chris and Jean-Luc had snow boarding lessons and spent the entire day on the tiny bunny slope. Chris did very well, but Jean-Luc was a little more cautious. I went with Bela while Isabel had her lesson. We did a bunch of the green slopes. After lunch, I went with them on the blue slopes. I did really well, it all came back to me after 30 years! I used to go all the time when I was in the Air Force, and I was even on the Peterson Ski Team. Not the fastest girl, but I could hold my own (see flashback photos!).

Movies

Saw Passengers with Bill and the Boys. It starred Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence. Pretty good movie, there were only those two for most of it. It was about a guy waking up 90 years early on a long sleep ship to another planet. And then he woke up a girl to keep him company. Chaos ensues as the ship starts shutting down after some damage. Loved Chris Pratt, and Jennifer Lawrence was pretty good too.

Up in Hidden Valley, some family photos of Karen with the boys. And the boys preparing to go snowboarding the next day. Anton will be leaving to go to Utah with Mariah for her sister Sariee's wedding tomorrow.

Movies

Saw Rogue One: A Star Wars Story today with Bill and the boys, Mariah, XXX in Pittsburgh. It was the story of how they got the plans to the Death Star before the very first movie. Fabulous! Great action and story. And everyone dies at the end. The very end of the movie was the lead in to Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope.

Christmas Eve

Went to lunch with the Pittsburgh family: Karen, Bela, Isabel, and Aunt Rose! And Christmas Eve services at their church. Karen is singing in the choir (middle right) before the services began.

Christmas Eve Day

Had a lot of fun playing games today! And then we opened the Elf gifts. Just one gift on Christmas Eve. Karen had to go sing in the church choir for the Christmas Eve service. Then bedtime!
