Went to the movies today with the Mills. We saw Beauty and the Beast. It was wonderful!

Delta 4 launch tonite, cell phone picture. Beautiful launch, the exhaust trail spirals beautifully in the twilight.

From Spaceflightnow.com: A United Launch Alliance Delta 4 rocket will launch the ninth Wideband Global SATCOM spacecraft, formerly known as the Wideband Gapfiller Satellite. Built by Boeing, this geostationary communications spacecraft will serve U.S. military forces. The rocket will fly in the Medium+ (5,4) configuration with four solid rocket boosters. Delayed from Feb. 2, March 2, March 8 and March 17.

This week in NoVa

What a week to travel to northern Virginia! Snow on Monday night/Tuesday morning. Enough snow to close down the city, maybe 4 inches? One as it started, two the next morning.

New iPhone 7. Already I'm frustrated because when I backed up my old phone, it was encrypted. And I have no idea what the password was! 😡

Movies

Went to see Logan with my sister Julie, her husband Dave, her son David and his wife Kellie, and her mother-in-law Melanie. Loved it, but it was kind of sad at the end as Logan dies. He is protecting his 'daugher' and her friends, but he's down on life and dying. Charles Xavier is also in the movie as an older man, and he also dies. So sad.

Kathy

My best friend Kathy had surgery to remove a growth which was suspected for ovarian cancer. I visited her in the hospital, and I painted her nails to try to pick up her spirits. Still no word on whether it actually was ovarian cancer, she needs to wait until Friday for the final results. She was able to come home today.

And I've another family I'm praying for at the same hospital, Johnny Batch. Horrific accident on SR 520, he's on life support. Praying for him.

Babysitting Emily!

Babysat my grand niece Emily last night. She was horribly sunburned on her face after spending the day at one of the local springs. Her mom had put sunscreen on her arms and legs but forgot her face. She still was a joy to babysit.

Chris had several of his buddies over: Chayon K, Robbie S, Avery M, Nolan F, and his girlfriend Veronica N. They were great as they were playing a little bit with her and making her laugh.

Work

On a stroll through Tyson's Corner Mall. One of my favorites, Wasabi Sushi Bar. I was on the upper floor looking down. Then, a coffee from Starbucks. And finally, a first class upgrade on the flight home from American Airlines.
