Utah Day 4

Had a fantastic time on Independence Day. The puppies were at the window waiting for Anton to get back home, every time they heard a noise outside, they were looking for him.  Went to the early show at the movies to see the new "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny", it was pretty good. Top Golf was fun. Anton won a few games in the beginning, but I was able to come out on top for Angry Birds!

Salt Lake City, Utah - Day 2

We went to church in the morning, very interesting. I like how everyone was able to come forward and share a part of their lives. Then we went to see Top Gun. Fantastic movie! Brought me back to high school!

Later in the evening, we played Skull King with Anton and Mariah's friendly neighbors.

Bill and I went to see The Matrix Resurrections with my sister Julie and her husband Dave and son David. B. O. R. I. N. G. All of us slept at some point during the movie. Good action but very short on plot. Seemed to follow in the original's vein, but just plain boring.

Independence Day Nails

Later we watched "The Tomorrrow Wars" on Netflix with Chris Pratt. It was pretty good!

At the movie theater to see Mortal Kombat. Haven’t been to the movies since Dec 2019!! We’re the only ones here.

Double feature! First we saw Jumani: The Next Level and then Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker. Both were fabulous!

Jumanji was soooo funny, as good or better than the first one. The action was great, and there was new stuff that they could do too. Like change characters! I love Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan. And the other actors were also great.

Star Wars was a great ending to the whole series. It tied up many loose ends as well as got most of the original cast in the story. I was very sad at the ending because of who died, but he did it valiantly saving Rey's life. And I just loved how Rey defeated the Emperor, saving both the rebel fleet and herself.

Saw Charlie's Angels with Kristen Stewart and some other girls. There was a ton of Bosley's including Patrick Stewart! And Charlie was original Angel Jacklyn Smith. Lot's of action, Kristen Steward wasn't too bad, but not as good as the original series. I liked it, but not a show-stopping lot.

Went to see Zombieland: Double Tap with the Mills. Which is surprising because Kathy hates horror movies. But I think it was the comedy aspect that appealed, so it was a positive. Loved it! Same vein as the first, great story, good action.

Saw Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbes and Shaw some time back, forgot the day so I'm approximating. It was really good, I love both the Rock and Jason Statham. And the Rock was able to get back to his roots. Hopefully there will be another movie.

Saw Pokemon Detective Pikachu with Bill and the Perlmans. It was good in a cute way. Pikachu was played by Ryan Reynolds, and we got to see him in human form briefly late in the movie. And the lead, Justice Smith, as also very good. It was funny and had a plot!

Saw Teen Spirit with Kathy. Sort of depressing movie about a teen girl that makes it big by winning a singing competition.

Saw Avengers: Endgame with most of my family. The final movie in the incredibly long span of Marvel movies. It was very good, but I was sad at the end. Lots of funny parts, especially Thor, lots of action in the last half of the movie. Nearly everyone had a part in it.

Saw Captain Marvel with most of my family and the Mills. Loved it! Brie Larson was great, and she will fit right into the Marvel universe.

Saw Aquaman with the Mills. Good movie, Jason Mamoa is impressive! Cute love story, but tons of CGI.

Saw Venom with Bill, Julie-ana, and Kat. A little slow at first, but it turned into a great movie! Loved Tom Hardy, and his costar Michelle Williams was also good. I loved the banter between the two. Will be interesting to see what kind of sequel they come up with.

Saw Ant-Man and the Wasp with Bill, Elliot, and Yvette. A fun, summer movie. It drug a little in the middle, but the last half was full of action. And the surprise at the end put it squarely in the MCU. What a surprise!

Saw Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Great movie! Love love love Chris Pratt. The dinosaurs were great! Good action, and it's set up for the next movie.

Saw Solo by myself today in Tyson's Corner, VA. Bill was watching it at home at the same time. It was a pretty good movie! Tons of action, Chewie was great, so was the guy that played Han Solo. And Lando was also very smooth. Some of the funny bits fell a little flat, but overall it was pretty good.

Saw A Quiet Place. Eeeeh. It was ok, but I could have waited for it to come out on TV. I think a total of 20 words were spoken out loud. And no clue what those things were.
