Medford Update

Quick update on my son Anton and his wife Mariah and her family in Medford, Oregon. Everyone is ok, and they’re back in their house. But no power (lines burned up) and no water for at least another week or two. We did 4 days of no power and water after hurricane Irma, no fun at all. 2357 homes lost. And counting. This is southern Oregon today, thankfully Anton and family are ok. It's bad all up and down the west coast. Thanks Sarrie!

Holy Hurricanes!!

Five (5) named storms in the Atlantic with two other "disturbances" for a total of seven (7). Crazy times! Last time there were 5 named storms was September 1971, I think that was the only other time. Not sure how many unnamed disturbances in addition they had though.

Medford Fire

Thank God my son Anton and his family are finally able to go home. They are all safe, but the whole area is a disaster. There is no power because the power lines were burned up. Several gas stations exploded! Some houses and parts of neighborhoods burned. It came very close to their house, but swept past it. So very sad. Here is the story.

Saint Augustine Weekend

Bill and I went to Saint Augustine for the weekend. Covid safe, no worries. But we did see some stuff that we've missed before. The Lighthouse, the Distillery, the Ice Plant (they have a restaurant!). It was fun! And yes, we walked all the way to the top of the lighthouse. And we took a fabulous sailboat trip on the Schooner Freedom around the waters of the city.

Sister Memories

FIRE!

Please pray for my son Anton and his wife Mariah and their family in Medford, Oregon. They are being evacuated now from their home because the fires are so close. Medford is about 30 miles north of California.
