Dirty Santa Gift Exchange

Had some fun on Saturday with the Dirty Santa Gift Exchange.  Everyone brought 2 'gifts'.  It had to be under 5 dollars, preferrably something used and not so nice.  There was gift swapping, people stealing gifts, etc.  I ended up with 2 picture frames, one of which I gave back to Maura.  Bill got an extending back scratcher and a used golf ball/tee.  Jean-Luc got a head lamp and something else.  Anton - not sure.  And Chris got a sock puppet and a small golf bag.

Then came the long, long drive home on Sunday!

Roberta turns 70

Joan and Karen threw a party for their mom, Roberta, who was turning 70 in a few days.  We had a great time!  Lots of her friends came to the party, and everyone was so nice and chatty.  And we had a chance to get a family portrait.

Thanksgiving

We went to Nashville for Thanksgiving.  Had tons of food and a great time!!  Karen brought Isabel and Aunt Rose down with her from Pittsburgh.  There was a new game we played, 5 seconds.  You are told to name 3 items of whatever in 5 seconds.  Fun!  And we played Trivial Pursuit and Monopoly.  Actually, we never finished Monopoly 'cause when the food came out, everyone was done!

My Nephew is Santa!

My nephew, David (Gator) Watts, was Santa this year!  He works at Walmart.  He makes a pretty good Santa. :)  That's his mom, Julie, on his lap.

End of Fall Ball

It was a baseball filled weekend!  We had two baseball games on Saturday, and two baseball parties on Sunday.  Chris played on Anton's team because they were short players.  He played left field, he pitched, and he played first base.  All very well!  He even struck out a Juniors player!!  And he got a great hit up over the third baseman's head.  At his own game, he was catcher, pitcher, and first baseman.  He didn't get a hit, but he was hit by pitch and was walked as well as put out.  Anton played pitcher and first baseman.  No hits, but he did score a run off of a walk.
Then on Sunday, we had both of their baseball parties.  First was Anton's where the parents played kickball against the kids.  The parents won!  Then was Chris' party where the coaches played softball against the kids.  Bill got a monster hit to the fence.  Both sides said the other was cheating, but it was never resolved because the food was ready and everyone was hungry.

It was a pretty good weekend!  Baseball is over now.  Until about a month and a half when Spring season starts!

Robotics and Baseball

Another busy day today! Jean-Luc was, of course, off with his friends. Until about 11 am when he showed up at the ball field to umpire some games. But we had already been pretty busy before then. We left early in the morning to get to Edgewood by 7 am to help set up for the Robotics Competition practice. Bill and Anton left around 9 to go to his baseball game, Chris and I stayed to work the concession area. Chris had a blast, he was pretty involved with the practice runs. He's on team Scrap Metal with his brother Anton.

Then, we left around 12:30 to go to Chris' baseball game. The played the Gold team and won. Chris had two great hits, a single and a double. He played catcher, first base, and pitched. He had a great game!

Chris Goes to the Dance

Chris went to the Edgewood Middle School Dance on Friday night. I chaperoned. He said he had fun, but he didn't know how to dance. But he did have fun hanging with his friends.
