Nuevo Vallarta Day 3 - Massages, Dinner at Quinto, and Night Golf at the Lakes

Morning massages were wonderful, but waaaay expensive. Time by the pools in the afternoon, then fantastic dinner at Quinto overlooking the end of the Mexico Open. At the pools, Mariah and Anton scored two tickets to the Mexico Open. Finally ended up doing the par 3 course the Lakes. It's called the Lakes because every hole, you have to hit over a lake. I tried it one time, and lost my ball to the murky deep. No more of that, just dropped on the other side. When we were near the end, the winner of the Mexico Open, Tony Finau, and his kids started the course just on the other side of the lake. He had a passel of people with him, and we yelled hello over to him. He was caddying for his kids! He lives about 5 miles from Anton and Mariah, very nice guy!

Nuevo Vallarta Day 1 - Arrival

Going to Mexico for a glorious vacation! Anton and Mariah are joining us. ❤️ The plane ride over, the view of Puerto Vallarta from our room, Anton & Mariah, and Bill and me.

Tornado Warning!

We just went to Orlando for the evening in preparation for our trip to Mexico. Then we got the tornado warning message on the phone. Then I remembered the baby birds that fell out of the nest that were on the ground when we left to go to Orlando. I called Chris and asked that he bring them in because it was going to be really bad. He and Ashlee got the chicks, but the mom flew away. After the storm, they put the chicks back outside and thankfully the mom came back.

Cooking Class

Did the Pork: A World of its Own cooking class at Alfredo's with Bill. He's a cooking monster!

Menu: Pork sausage, white bean and spinach soup; Roasted rosemary and sage pork loin; Bacon rustic lentil beans; Bacon brownies

Half Marathon by Mariah

Mariah ran the Salt Lake City Half Marathon. So proud of you!! 💝

Dinner with the Boy

Went to Orlando for dinner and games with JL and V. We went to a Korean BBQ place for dinner, JL is doing the cooking!

Cooking Class

Texas Cattle Drive

Jon took us to a real, live cattle drive at the Fort Worth Stockyards. Fantastic!

Jon Visit in Fort Worth

My luggage was late getting to Fort Worth, like 2 and a half days late! I had to buy clothes for church. Glad my sister went with me.

Spending Easter Sunday with my sis and bro and my doggie niece Ginger Grant. We’ve been playing Yatzi all afternoon and Ginger has kicked my but every time. Here we are discussing her options on whether she thinks she should go for the Yatzi or play it safe with the sixes. 

When we arrived on Saturday my brother showed us a birds nest that was on his back porch. This sweet little bird felt safe enough to mar her next here. Well - this morning I noticed the mom was away and what did I see in the next? You guessed it, baby birds.
