Bahamas Cruise - Day 2 - Sea Day

Our team won at Trivia! Yay!! And after Trivia, we got a drink and were heading up in the glass elevator to our room. We let two people off, and on our floor, the doors wouldn't open. At all. I'm standing there with a drink in my hand, and people are coming over and trying to pry the doors apart. I calmly picked up the phone and talked to the customer service lady. She sounded more panicked than me! She sent the elevator guy over to us; he was very short and had to really reach to the top of the elevators to get the doors to open. Anyway, we were free! They sent up the chocolate covered strawberries as a nice touch. And finally, we had a lovely view in the evening.

Bahamas Cruise - Day 1 - Nassau, Bahamas

Rainy start to the morning, but should be good weather when we dock in Nassau in about an hour. And we had a nice day in Nassau with friends, once it cleared up.

Southern Caribbean Cruise - Day 8 - A Day at Sea

More trivia, then we used our spa gift from Ed and Bibi. Very relaxing. Bill won $70 at Bingo! Visit to the Alchemy bar on our last day, then more trivia. Packed up for tomorrow, then dinner. Then we all went to the comedy show to see Al Katz. Bill really liked him.

Southern Caribbean Cruise - Day 7 - Grand Turk

JL stayed on the ship today, stomach bothering him. Ed rented a golf cart and off we went to the city center, but decided to head to the lighthouse at the north end after several wrong turns. There were donkeys! Like everywhere.

Headed back towards town looking for the museum, but it was closed. Drove around looking for food trying not to get killed in the process. Driving on the left side here, Ed was driving and not paying attention... Found a place called Osprey Beach Hotel Bird Cage Bar and Grill, had a wonderful breakfast/lunch.

Then back to the port to meet JL and get passports stamped and some shopping. Then back to the ship for more trivia. Won another trophy. :)

Southern Caribbean Cruise - Day 6 - A Day at Sea

Did trivia this morning - Morning Trivia, but it wasn't about the morning. Ed and Bibi gave us a spa day as a gift - very generous! Horror TV and Movie Trivia - nailed it 15 out of 20 - winner! More trivia, but no luck. Had a couple of drinks at the Alchemy Bar, then dinner and bed.

Southern Caribbean Cruise - Day 5 - Curaçao

Got off the ship and shopped for a while. Ate breakfast at the Pancake Shop as JL was hungry. The power kept going out, our order was goofy, but the people were wonderful. Got our passports stamped after several sets of wrong directions. Finally, we were right there next to it! Tried a nice looking place for lunch, but turned out the service was terrible. Found a Starbucks on the way back to the ship. Stopped by the Alchemy bar for a bit in the evening, then played several sets of trivia. Dinner, more drinks, great discussion, and turned in for the night.

Southern Caribbean Cruise - Day 4 - Aruba

Watched the ship dock into Aruba. We did the North Shore Jeep Safari and Beach by ABC Tours. Our guides were fantastic. First stop was Aryo Rock, the only solid rock formation of its kind in the Caribbean. Then the Natural Bridge, which was knocked down in 2005. Then on to the Bushirubana Gold Mills ruins which was a gold refinery built by the Dutch. Alto Vista Chapel which was built by women was next, and finally the California Lighthouse was the last stop. One the way back we stopped at the beach for an hour or so and ate at the little restaurant, then a mad cap drive back to the ship! We were the first ones back. Walked around the port for a bit, got our passports stamped. Finally spent some time at the Alchemy bar playing 5 Crowns and drinks and chatting with Ed and Bibi.
