Saw Mad Max: Fury Road today with the Mills.  It was a good movie, lots of action.  Like from start to finish!  Tom Hardy was Mad Max, and Charlize Theron was Imperator Furiosa.  She tried to save some of the crazy dictator's breeding wives, and Mad Max happened along to help.  Loved the guy swinging on the rig playing heavy metal on the guitar.

Passing and Bypass Surgery

My mother passed away Monday around noon.  Just a little sad.  And Monica had triple bypass surgery this morning. She came through it fine.

New York City Birthday Weekend

Spent the weekend in New York City with my sister Julie for her birthday.  Her husband Dave, and David and Kellie, and Julie-ana rounded out the group.

We had a blast!  They went sight seeing on Friday while I was working, and I met them at the Statue of Liberty launching point in Battery Park. Then we went all over visiting Times Square, the 911 Memorial, Central Park, Wall Street, the Top of the Rock, the Apple Store, and general walking around.  And we had a nice dinner at Bubba Gump's.

We did a ton of rides on the subway and did a LOT of walking around.  The final thing we did was go to the Stand Up for Pitts Comedy show.

Movies

Saw The Avengers: Age of Ultron today in Manhattan.  Great flick!  It had all the Avengers (Capt America, Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye), and introduced a few more (Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch).  Sadly, Quicksilver didn't make it.  And I loved the bad guy Ultron.  He was voiced by James Spader.

I liked the beginning because they showed all the Avengers in frame surging in fighting, and then they did it again at the end around the detonator.  The story was pretty good, and they also did a lot of character development.  The jokes were good, the action was better, and the special effects were great!
