Lacrosse
Chris had lacrosse games today against Satellite Beach. Since they are grade based, he was able to play in two games. I only took photos of the first game because I had to leave to prepare for our Dinners for Eight that evening. They won the first game, 10-3!! Finally!! Woo-hoo!! But lost the second by only a point, 4-3. Getting better!! Check out all the lacrosse photos by clicking the title.
MISLL Jrs Baseball
Chris had two games this past week, Wed and Fri. Both against IRC, and they lost both. 6-4 and 4-3. *sigh*
Wed, 2/24. Chris played left field for four innings and then was benched. He was 0-1 with a walk and a putout. He did score on the walk!
Fri, 2/26. Chris played the whole game at first base. He made 5 putouts and 1 error. In the first inning, the third baseman threw him the ball for the out. In the fourth inning, the same. In the fifth inning, he got the ball from the shortstop on one play and the third baseman on another for 2 outs. And in the sixth and final inning, he scooped up the batted ball and stepped on home plate for the out. He made the error in the fourth inning when the runner was going to second. He missed the throw.
He was 1 for 3 at the plate with a nice single up the middle and an RBI, a walk, and two putouts. He scored on the walk!

Awards
We went to the Edgewood Awards Ceremony tonight. Well Anton, Bill, and I went. Jean-Luc did not, and Chris was at Avery's house. They gave Anton the Most Outstanding Algebra II Honors award. Yay!! Jean-Luc got the AP Scholar award (getting a score of 3 or higher on 3 AP tests) and his UNF Presidential Scholarship award.

Dinner
Had lunch with Kathy M. and Sandi B. today. Sandi said she enjoyed the photos I used to take of dinner, so she inspired me for dinner tonite. Shrimp scampi, snow peas with mushrooms, and some angel hair pasta!

MISLL Jrs Baseball
Chris' Monday game against Rockledge. The Rockledge field was soaked along the 1-2-3 basepath, so we moved over to McClarty park. It was a perfect night. The temp was just right, and the wind was calm. We were short a player, so right field was played by Rockledge.
They lost, 3-12 Rockledge. :(
Chris started as pitcher. He threw 37 pitches in 1.2 innings to 11 batters with 3 walks, 4 hits, and allowed 3 runs. Then he moved over to second base for the rest of the game. He had an assist and an error playing the field. The assist was in the 4th inning, he fielded the ball and threw it to first for the out. The error was in the third inning, it got past him on the hit. At the plate, he was 0 for 2 with a putout and on by error.

Manatees Game
Went to a Manatees Game with the Youth Group from church. They were playing the Threshers, and they won!! 2-1!! Chris was in a burrito rolling contest with Connor during the seventh inning stretch. Video below!
Lacrosse
Chris had lacrosse games in Tampa yesterday. I was with Anton at the Math competition, so no pictures. He was texting me continuously what the scores were. They lost both games of course, but the scores weren't so bad. The first game was 6-4, the second was 10-5. Getting closer... The 13U team actually won one!

Math Competition
Anton had a Math Competition at the School Board today. He was on the Algebra II team for Edgewood. Sadly, they didn't win anything. But he says it was fun. Better luck next year!

Chris had a game last night. It was supposed to be today, but they had to move it forward. They won over MICS JV, 12-9.
Chris played right field for the first 3 innings, pitched the next inning, sat out two innings, then came back in at right field. He had one assist and one error. The error was in the fourth inning as pitcher. He bobbled the ball on the throw to first. The assist came as the last play of the fourth when he was pitching. The ball was hit back to him, and he tossed it over to first for the out. He was very excited to pitch! He threw 38 pitches in 1 inning striking out 1 and allowing 3 walks and 5 hits. And he was 0-2 at the plate hitting two putouts.

MISLL Jrs and Srs Baseball!
Several games to report on.
Chris - 4/5 against IRC Giants at IRC. 6-16 IRC wins, we just made too many errors!
Chris played right field for the first two innings, then moved to second base for the rest of the game. He was 1 for 3 with a single and 2 on by errors. Both errors were by the first baseman. On his single, he got an RBI.
Chris - 4/9 against CLL Orange at Cocoa. 3-6 Cocoa wins.
Chris played second base the entire game. He made 2 assists and 1 error. In the second and fifth innings, he fielded the ball and threw it to first base for the out. In the sixth inning, he made the error on the throw to first for the out. At the plate, he was 1 for 3 with a single, hit by pitch (left a mark on his side), putout, and a strikeout. He came around and scored on the single, stealing both second base and home.
Anton - 4/5 against the Mims Pirates at Mims. 11-0 MISLL wins.
Great game by our Senior team! Jordan R. pitched a no-hitter and only allowed one walk. Anton played right field for the first 3 innings, the game was over after the fifth inning. He was 2 for 2 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored on both singles and brought home an RBI each time. Also, both times he stole second base.
Anton - 4/9 against the Mims Gators at Mitchell Ellington. 2-7 MISLL wins. Anton played right field again, switching out with Rory S. for two innings. He was again 2 for 2 at the plate scoring both times. He brought home an RBI on the first hit.
