Had a fantastic time at the Gaufest! It was so great to hang with everyone, one final group photo after the big feast.

Bill and Bela were judges today since it was the competition day. The rest of us enjoyed watching the different competitions.

The next day was saying hellos to everyone. We had a great time seeing our German Club family and friends.

Gaufest Day 1 - Arrival at the Kalahari

Traveled up to Sandusky, Ohio for the Gaufest. Jean-Luc and Veronica went with us, we had a blast! Got to the Kalahari Resort and had lunch. JL had a cute pic of V, and our waitress had an Agilisys badge on, the company that my sister works at!

Gebeitsfest, Day 2

Today was the dance competitions. Caught pictures of the girls competition, but the rest of the time was spent playing Skull King. 😏 Isabel is in the middle with the two Flock girls on either side. Isa got 2nd place in the Jugend Einzel competition! 

Gebeitsfest, Day 1

Bill and I went up to Seven Springs, PA for our German Club's Gebeitsfest (50th Anniversary) and also for Thanksgiving later in the week. It was snowy and COLD. As the day wore on, the snowing became a white out! And it was back to regular snowmaking on the mountain. But the first evening was a lot of fun as everyone started to arrive.

Gaufest 2022 - Day 4

And the last day of Gaufest 2022. Pinning the flags and final celebrations. Lunch at the Hard Rock Casino and then a trip out back along the Steel Pier. Until next year- for Gaufest 2023!!

Gaufest 2022 - Day 2

Dancing and fun all day! Going to mention this now... When we checked in, they asked if we wanted to pay extra for the pool area. We were shocked. Told them that we're from Florida, we've never paid for the pool area ever. They said it was reaaaaaally nice, we were like, "No thank you". When we walked by the pool area later, it was pretty small, so glad we didn't pay!

We went down to the Jersey shore to the boardwalk for lunch. Interesting place to say the least.

Gaufest 2022 - Travel Day Part 2

Bill and I decided to head over to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino to buy some guitar pins. It was a ways away at the beach, but it is a beautiful hotel! Later that evening, we had drinks in one of the hotel bars and played Skull King with JL and V.
