Anniversary and Movies

Saw Battleship yesterday on Memorial Day.  Great movie for this holiday.  Lots of action by the US Navy, aliens, and a few funny bits.

It was also our 18th anniversary.  We went to lunch at Red Lobster to celebrate.  Anton and Chris were with us, Jean-Luc was with Sarah most of the day.  It was also their 6 month anniversary.

Movies

Saw Men In Black 3 tonight.  It was pretty good, I liked it.  Lots of action and a heart touching story along with the funny lines.  Great movie!

Learner's Permit

So Anton got his learner's permit today.  It's the third time we've been up there!!  On Wednesday, didn't have his birth certificate.  Then yesterday, didn't have his social security card or proof of residence.  I made sure I had everything together today.  So I asked him if he was going to drive home.  He said, "Only if you want the car smashed."  This is going to take some time...

Baseball

The Junior Causeway Diners won their season tonight and will be heading to the District tournament!  I'm so proud of Anton and his team!  The only problem is that the games are the same exact days and times as Chris' Majors team.  Except that Chris is at Rockledge and Anton is at Mitchell Ellington.  :(

Baseball Weekend

It's been a total baseball weekend. Friday night Championship game followed by a graduation party (congrats Sarah!). Saturday baseball closing ceremony followed by a Championship double header (which the Mj Marlins won). Today, a baseball party and just got home from the Manatees game. I'm gonna miss this!!

New Prius

Bill's new car!  It's a Prius to replace his old Prius.  The old Prius had 197,000 miles on it over 6 years, it was worn out.  But he's stylin' now...

Anton's Birthday and Mother's Day

Friday was Anton's 15th birthday, although we celebrated it today.  He's been studying for his permit test, maybe by next week he'll be ready to take the exam.
And we had a very nice day for Mother's Day.  Chris, Anton, Bill, and I played a round of golf at the Savannah's.  Chris claims he won, but there was a lot of ball adjustment going on.  Not that he was the only one...  Then we came home and touched up the house.  Anton (and I) made a cake, it was very good!

Sisters go see the Pirates

My sisters and their families went to the Pirate themed attraction/restaurant in Orlando.  Next time, I told them they needed to invite us too!

Movies

Saw The Avengers last night.  It kind of started a little slow (for me), but it was a really great movie.  The Hulk kind of stole the show!  Definitely the best Superhero show I've seen in a long while.  We're going back to see it again today!

Anton's Award

Anton won an Award from school!  'Most Outstanding World History Honors'  I'm so proud of him!!

5/6 update: The church posted his picture and award in the Sunday bulletin.  Joe talked about how great this award was since it wasn't on the FCAT during the introductions.  And of course, he did not go to church today...
