Happy New Year from San Antonio!! Fabulous fireworks! — with Anton Steinmetz and Stacey S and Jeff W at San Antonio Riverwalk.
Anton and I went to The Tower of the Americas. Closed because of poor visibility. That was a bummer! But, later we went to the San Antonio Spurs vs New Orleans Pelicans game. The Spurs won, 95-93 in the last half second of overtime. Great game! So now I've done all four major sports in 2014: Baseball (Washington Nationals), Football (Washington Redskins), Hockey (New York Islanders), and now Basketball (San Antonio Spurs). I wonder what I'm going to next year...
We must have walked around San Antonio at least six times! First, down the Riverwalk section next to our hotel. Then to the Alamo, then around the downtown Riverwalk loop. Lunch at the Rainforest Cafe (where Anton got tired of my picture taking), then back to the hotel. Then around again, and back to the Alamo for a gift for Anton's girlfriend Courtenay. Then back to the hotel for a short rest.
Today we had a very nice day exploring the downtown area and the River Walk circle. We moved from the Holiday Inn around noon. Then walked the circle and went to the movies. Finally dinner at Jimmy John's.

We had a lovely Christmas Day. We played board games, my sisters and their families came over, had a wonderful dinner, and just enjoyed everyone's company.

Saw The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies with my Mythics workmates last night. Great movie, and great ending to this series. Tons of fighting, a touching love story, and great characters.
Had a great night out with my Mythics workmates. The Siebel team and three of us from the Data Mart team went out to a Russian restaurant, Tatiana's, for dinner as a holiday celebration. It was surprisingly delicious! And I'm sure the tab was huge! (Update: the tab was about $2K...)

Kimberly and I went to a Sully Erna concert. He's the lead singer for Godsmack, but this was just him. It was in a small venue, but the audience was very enthusiastic. It was a pretty good concert, but all the songs were sad.

Went to see Interstellar yesterday with Kimberly K. Great movie with Matthew McConaughy and Anne Hathaway. It was a little long, but very satisfying. I was a little sad at the ending how the daughter treats the father, but still a nice movie.
I had a free weekend, so we decorated the Christmas tree. Chris and Anton helped.
