Had a very nice end to the year spending it with friends. Spent time with Gary and Gisella between Christmas and New Year. And also with Kathy and Robert on New Year's Eve. Played tons of games and drank lots of wine!
So now I've seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens twice. First on Sunday and then again today. It's a great movie! Mirrors the very first one, Episode 4. The new characters are great. One of them, Kylo Ren, is Ben Solo or Han Solo and Leia Organa's son. He's on the dark side. Rae is on the light side, but we don't know hardly anything about her. She's strong in the force, but doesn't know it yet. They don't say who her parents are, but I'm thinking it's Luke Skywalker. The third new person is Finn. He's a stormtrooper who breaks free from his training and tries to run away from the New Order which arose after the Empire was destroyed. And finally, we have Po Dameron who is the best pilot that the Resistance has. It also has Han Solo, Chewbacca, Princess Leia, C3P0, and R2D2. And a very small bit with Luke Skywalker. I was devastated when Kylo Ren killed Han Solo (his father). But the ending is full of hope for Rae and Luke. Lots of laughs, drama, action, and adventure in this one.
Well, Jean-Luc broke his right elbow on Wednesday. He fell off a hoverboard. Here's a picture of how it looks 4 days later. Poor thing!
My family came over for Christmas, had a fabulous time! First, we opened presents with the boys. My sister Julie, her husband Dave, and my niece Julie-ana were over around noon. We opened more presents, then we made appetizers, and they played cut throat Uno with the boys. I made dinner. When my nephew David, his wife Kellie, and new born daughter Emily got here, we opened their presents. Then we all had dinner, and finally played Apples to Apples. It was wonderful!
Had a quick trip up to New York City to do a demo for DSNY. We toured Rockefeller Center while we were there!
